It's a sturdy metal that's great. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the double sided tape was very difficult to peel off the red backing without damaging the adhesive (no tab) and there were no instructions on which side of the tape to which came piece. or when it matters. I had to trawl through other reviews to figure out how to attach it. But overall I'm satisfied. I have a 2020 Nissan Versa SV and it fits perfectly.
