The portrait lens is perfect, as a group shot it also works well, you just need to run back as far as possible. Manual aperture control on the lens is VERY convenient. One of my favorite lenses. Some pros: Aperture! Perfect geometry, no chromatic aberration. Draws just fabulous, point sources behind the plane of focus are perfectly round, no hexagons. The stabilization and autofocus are excellent. Take the Thing in your hands! Got cons: The hood is unsuccessfully fastened. In general, the lens hood does not correspond to the class of the lens.
