Review on 🎨 Artist's Essential: 48 High-Quality Oil-Based Colored Pencils with Skin Tone Shades for Coloring, Drawing, and Sketching by Roger Calvert

Outstanding color saturation! However, they wear out quickly.

This set is very good and very inexpensive, so it's a win-win purchase! They color my coloring books very well with very good opacity and require less pressure than I sometimes need to use, for example, Crayola crayons. I tried blending and feathering, it worked out fine. The layering was ok, it doesn't take much to start with so I'm happy with it. Sharpening turned out to be a little worse than I had hoped. They came with nice sharp points but they wear out quickly and I couldn't get that nice sharp point back. Perhaps this is typical of oil pencils. They are softer and seem to wear out quicker than hard wax based pencils which I find easier to sharpen to a good point. But I like the saturation of the colors, so overall I'm very happy with this set!
