I started one because my home build computer is a bit far from my desk and I hated getting up to plug and unplug devices. Then I bought one for my Macbook with docking station because Apple only provides 2 USB C/Thunderbolt ports. I ended up buying one for my work laptop as I also found it a hassle to connect and disconnect devices as it was fixed in the keyboard drawer of an old computer rack I had. I installed 3 of these side by side near my desk. I like the flexibility of being able to move USB sticks from one machine to another or my headset. The adhesive backing is great, it's pretty tight, the hubs don't move. "gaming" experience.
