However, the hub works well enough with most devices: My webcam (Logitech c922) has no image and the sound works fine. The only explanation is that the ports on this hub are a bit flimsy and don't deliver the required 500mA. (The webcam works fine on another hub, even with a USB extender) There's also a problem with the two power-only ports: they share a ground with the USB data ports, creating a ground loop between the PC through the USB connection is created. (I wanted to use one of the powered ports to connect a USB powered microphone that has an internal amplifier but a 3.5mm output. The ground loop made a lot of noise and I had to use a special wall charger to to power the microphone.) So. While I occasionally use the hub for low-power USB devices, I can't use it for the two items I originally bought it for.
