Review on SilverStone F1 Monaco S radar detector by Arun Kumar ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent quality, absolutely not expected for such a price.

Bought SilverStone F1 Monaco S specifically for a trip from St. Petersburg to the Crimea. I went there on August 4-6, back on August 23-25. A week ago, a fine came from the Rostov region, from a trip home, so there probably won’t be any more and we can sum up :) When I read the forum and chose, I looked at the recommended ones for driving in excess of up to +40 km / h. I traveled with him for a couple of weeks before the trip, I got used to it (this is my first rd) and went to the Crimea. There and back plus pokatushki there, it turned out 6200 km of run. Since the M11 and M4 highways are far from empty, driving in the Routes mode is not an option at all, and I drove all the way there and back in the City1 mode. I received two fines: one on the way there (Arena in the Hong Kong Territory), and one on the way back. Both for 250. The city / highway driving mode was 80/130 there, back I had already begun to get impudent and drove 100/150. Before trips, it was ated to the latest firmware at that time. False positives were mainly from Toyota Corners, but they are easy to determine by intensity (no more than 4). In general, quite a decent RD, I liked it. I downloaded the firmware only with shortened messages, they don’t pester with chatter. Is that on the CAD constantly rattling, tk. picks up radars in both directions.

Pros
  • Frequent database ates, signature, several modes of operation (highway, city1, city2, smart). Many customizable parameters, it is convenient to load databases and make changes to the settings.
Cons
  • Of the shortcomings, only the mount can be noted, probably. No, the radar does not fly off, the suction cups are excellent. That's just the RD itself on its mount dangles slightly. It doesn't affect anything, but it's not neat somehow.
