Too many years ago I bought a replacement handle for my Moen toilet faucet from a large hardware and wood store nearby. It looked exactly like the broken original, but it wasn't. This replacement only had a part number and model name on the box but no description of the *type* or device it was designed for and it turned out to be a shower control. Installed on a toilet faucet it worked but rotated 360 degrees and didn't stay right. The valve needed replacing this week and I decided to order what looks like a real handle along with a new valve - and finally the faucet is fully working again.
