Antennas and cables work as advertised and greatly boost my 5Ghz WiFi signal. My FiOS Gateway Router was missing external antennas. So I opened it up and installed one of those antennas with the cable that came with it. This router has separate internal mounts for three internal 5GHz antennas, but I only installed one external antenna. The tiny connector fitted perfectly into the connector on the circuit board and snapped straight into place. The 2.4GHz band is hardcoded, but my problem was with 5GHz signals. This immediately improved the signal strength on the 5 GHz band by 6 dBm at 25 feet from the router. The signal changed from -65 dBm to -59 dBm. In other words, from bad to good signal. If you are planning this type of upgrade, be very careful. I used a second antenna to upgrade one of the antennas on an old Linksys router that I use as an access point. Signal improvement was seen on both Wi-Fi bands, but not as much as the stock Linksys antennas were pretty good. This is a very good product for the price. highlighted.
