I like this travel mug a lot more than I expected. Overall I think this is a great option if you want a streamlined coffee drinking experience on the go. Let's get down to business. Pros: - Splashguard is not a cheap trick. It's great for sipping coffee on the way to work. I feel safe from any splash that might cause bumps in the road. Also serves as a flow regulator. So when the coffee is still fairly hot, it's safe to skip just the right amount of liquid to take small sips instead of pouring in the brewing liquid. - Fits in my car cup holder - Easy lid and mouth. I've found that other airtight thermoses have some sort of jig or mechanism for quick opening and closing. What worries me is that these designs usually have hard-to-reach areas in the mouth and lid that are difficult to clean and can result in bad smell and taste. So while it takes two hands to unscrew and close the lid, I prefer this simple design. - Pleasant and convenient drinking process. The wide mouth and simple lid design is more or less similar to what I drink from a regular mug. Again, other designs offer quick open/close, quick sips, and one-handed operation, but this can result in an uncomfortable mouth and lip area and less than comfortable drinking. Internal ceramic coating. I haven't had any problems with the metallic taste. I feel like the bottle doesn't stop me from trying coffee or tea. Aesthetics. I like the way it looks. Fashionable and minimalist.- Tight. Cons: - May require a special cleaning tool. Due to the ceramic coating on the inside, they do not recommend cleaning tools that can scratch. Although I already had a bottle brush I was worried the bristles might be too coarse so I ordered a sponge. Maybe a bottle brush would have worked, but I was wrong as a precaution. There may be dents or scratches. My cup fell several times on asphalt, kitchen tiles, concrete. Though not on purpose, I was being a little rude with it. Now it has dents and several spots of scratched paint. Doesn't break convention at all, I think it adds a bit of character and charm but maybe something to be aware of. I have a white model. I wish it had some sort of handle or a way to attach it to your bag.
