I spent money on it. I really like her a lot. They're round and tactile, allowing me to twist the pencil so it stays on point even when the hexagonal tabs aren't digging into my fingers. The pigments are rich and soft, easy to apply, the colors blend well on their own, even better with a colorless pen blender. The watercolor aspect - it took me a few minutes to get the hang of it since I first started using watercolor pencils, but after trying it I LOVE the effect! It adds a texture to the work that neither watercolor nor pencil can give. I can paint the flowers with lots of detail and shading and then pour water over the vase to make it look like glass but leaving the details in my flowers intact by letting them dry. That's great! My only complaint is that I had about three pencils with fragile "leads" and lost about an inch of the pencil sharpening to the point where the lead broke and fell out. And the plastic trays are a little flimsy, and if not removed properly, the pins will crumble. Be careful if you have a pet that likes to help. Big mess when the dog came to see what I was working on. She tapped a corner of the tray and it buckled and fell off the table onto the floor.
