Perfect for use with children! The glass is durable and I never bothered handing it over to a first year who needed some time to cool off or complete an assignment. The size of the timers allowed them to quickly glance up and see how much they had left without bending down to look at it. Because they are big, I often put them in the middle of the table so 2 or 3 students can share them as an equal time limit target. Too bad there was no timer for every minute!
