
The USB hub must supply sufficient current, in this case at least 500mA, on each port, however this second self-powered/CI powered hub has mostly died after connecting a third device. Even if their devices like keyboards and mice require little to no power. Why have four ports if they can't be used for devices at the same time? My best guess is that it's just not drawing enough current, or matching enough current to a USB Type-C or Type-A port, which should deliver up to 1.5 amps at 5 volts. So I would say that this is another device designed to work in theory but not in practice. If you want a self powered hub try one from Brand, maybe Startech or Cable Matters, I haven't tried those yet.
