Review on 🔌 Cisco-Linksys BEFCMU10 Broadband Cable Modem by Tom Tofte

This is a great little modem. I connected via the ethernet port so I didn't have any OS compatibility issues, this only applies to a USB connection. My provider is ATTBI. Initially, the cable light didn't stay nailed down like it did with my rented RCA modem. According to the instructions, the cable indicator shows the presence of a connection between the modem and the Internet. When you're not sending or receiving data, the cable light flashes about every 20 seconds. This indicated to the ATTBI technician that the modem was receiving an intermittent signal (wrong assumption). He informed me that the modem was defective and contacted Linksys. However, despite his conclusion, luckily for me, he uploaded my Linksys modem's MAC address into the system (I'm sure the twist of fate is lost on this person, otherwise they would charge me twice to change anything case the MAC address is duplicate.). Luckily I had tech friends who saw all this tech support nonsense and advised me to continue with the setup process. I never had to contact Linksys and my modem works great. Setup took less than 5 minutes.
