Second use melted it. Not impressed. Of course, I used it to measure hot water and bring it to 200 degrees Celsius in a kettle. There was some steam, but it shouldn't melt the thermostat. I've been doing this for 20 years and have never had a melted thermometer before. So when it comes to temperature reading everything seems accurate - and I can still use it - don't expect the highest quality and don't use it for vapor or liquids close to boiling point.
