Pros: - Easy to install - Nicely textured matte black outer shell Cons: - Melted in 15 minutes - Even with 2 60 watt bulbs it's pretty dim The lamp itself that the light comes through is made out of cheap thin plastic. The socket should not exceed 75 watts, so I bought 60 watts. The instructions say nothing about the maximum power, other than what is written on the outlet. When I was writing this review, I saw in the product description that it shouldn't exceed 40W, but I'm sure it melts even at 40W. It took 15 minutes for the thing to melt (see picture) and then the black outer shell fell off with it, scaring me half to death in one fell swoop. with regular lightbulbs.
