I bought a used camper van without a key. To lock it for short absences I bought this door lock. It was easy to assemble and fit well. BUT - did I mention that I wanted to FINISH the camper for a short time? This is a fall. It worked at first (note the past tense). However, when my wife forgot that the latch was locked and pressed harder on the outer button, it still opened and now the locking function is not blocked. I wasn't expecting the door lock to fully protect the pop up camper (just have to rip the canvas), but I wanted to be able to slow down/deter the opportunists. It won't help. I only gave it two stars because it works as a functional door latch.
