I've been using this on our boat trailer for just under a year. We live near a river so most of our trailer towing is on roads at 35mph or less. However, this week is the second time we've ridden at interstate speeds. After less than 2 hours of driving, the entire support leg broke in half and the spare tire rolled down the interstate. Thank God nobody was near us at the time, otherwise there could be a serious accident. You'll see in the picture that it's broken in the middle of the post, not even near the weld or anything. Looking at the current picture of the item it looks like they changed the support post from round (which I have) to a square one so maybe this was done to add more strength and stability but all I got What I can say is that if you have a pole with a round support post, be prepared for it to accidentally break off.
