Beautiful teapot, I have the red color, more burgundy. It washes very easily and I like the smaller size. Unfortunately it doesn't whistle no matter what I do to follow their rules so I bought it so I can know when it's done without standing there. I let it run for a good ten minutes, steam comes out of the little hole and the kettle isn't full, medium heat and nothing. The metal feels and looks thin but so far it's holding up well so I'll keep using it. Update: It finally whistled after 20 minutes so I think it will keep you from burning the kettle dry but knowing when my water was done didn't help me.
