I wanted to use this pot a while before I reviewed it. I had ordered another more expensive Dutch oven which I ended up returning because the color was a muted light green color not like the mint green I had expected. Instead, I found this much less expensive one in a beautiful bright red. It cooks like a dream! I have made several soups and just today a mushroom Bolognese. My last Dutch oven always tended to scorch. This one creates a fond nicely, but it does has not overheated at the bottom. I am so pleased.
