This Dutch Oven is the perfect size. You don't often see the 4.5 quart. usually it's a 5 quart. This is the perfect size. Not too big or too small. It is very very durable. Cooks evenly and is a heavy duty cooker however it is not heavy. I put in the dishwasher and it comes out clean and like new. Great Value and would make someone a great gift as well. I ordered this about two weeks ago. It came with a silicone mat and holders in red. I needed a Dutch oven for my bread. It's pretty heavy, but has done a great job. I can use it on my gas stove as well as the oven. The color does change and become darker due to the heat so bear that in mind. I have a ringer cloth (looks like chainmail) which gently cleans it. Great purchase and loving it.

Other than being very heavy, yet budget friendly, the knob on the lid is perpetually loose because the silicon gasket is donut shaped rather than flat causing it to slide out of place. In order to put the gasket back in place, one must completely unscrew the knob from the lid, place the gasket correctly on the screw, and then screw the knob back into place. Even after this procedure, the knob never feels secure so be careful. See photos. Within the year, the gasket disintegrated. I would not…

I wanted to use this pot a while before I reviewed it. I had ordered another more expensive Dutch oven which I ended up returning because the color was a muted light green color not like the mint green I had expected. Instead, I found this much less expensive one in a beautiful bright red. It cooks like a dream! I have made several soups and just today a mushroom Bolognese. The pot was well packaged. Enough padding that It arrived safely with no incidents. The pot is sturdy and very heavy. I ordered the blue and love the color. It retain heat well and distributes it evenly when cooking and it’s very easy to clean. This is my first cast iron pot. I’ve cast iron pans but never a pot. So far I’ve cooked one dish, chicken & biscuit casserole and I am excited to cook more recipes with it.

The perfect pot for smaller house holds! It’s not always easy to find an enamel cast iron pot in the smaller sizes. This is a beautiful pot. It’s well constructed, it distributes the heat evenly and unlike a lot of enameled cast iron pots, I like that the internal part of the pot is white enamel and not black. The price is good and has bumps on the inside of the lid. It seems I remember reading that the bumps circulate the fluids to make the meat tender. I like to brown my meat and onion in this and add wine and later my vegetables--potatoes, mushrooms, carrots. Cook on top of the stove instead of the oven. I absolutely love this pot! I got it in the teal blue and it is such a beautiful color. The 4.5 qt is perfect for me for every day cooking. I have cooked gravy, soup, bread - you name it! It heats evenly and cooks beautifully both on top of the stove and in the oven. It seriously is comprable to my name brand pot that cost over 10 x the price! The best part for me is the clean up - it is is so easy to clean - nothing sticks and if there is any residue a little baking soda takes it right off…

Personally, a pan is a pan to me but my wife is all over this one. She loves it. It is easy to clean, cooks well, and is really well made and attractive.

Says it’s non stick but we used a few times and meals have stuck to the bottom. example: chicken fried rice, home style potatoes.

This item is really high quality and works as advertised. Fantastic value for the money. Only used a couple of times so far, but have been very impressed with the performance and ease of cleaning.

Works very well. My only complaint is with the heat resistant O-ring beneath the lid knob on the inside of the lid. The knob feels loose and tightening the retaining screw deforms the O-ring to the point where it cannot be used.
