Review on 🚘 Enhance Vehicle Safety with Standard Motor Products NS95 Neutral/Backup Switch by Robert Wells

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It worked perfectly! in switch

Bought a Thunderbird very cheap from a guy who swore the transmission needed fixing because it accidentally changed gears while driving. I rolled that it was this sensor, also known as the Hand Lever Position Sensor (MLPS) or Transmission Range Sensor. Early 4R70W transmissions have MLPS parts that seal moisture poorly and are prone to failure with these symptoms. This new part is an updated version of the 4R70W MLPS with the signature red gasket/gasket and bolts directly in place of the original. Sensor after approx. 5 minutes. Raising and lowering the machine will take longer than replacing this sensor. After installation the transmission shifted like new and all random shifts were gone. Something to be aware of if you have a '95 or older car with a misbehaving 4R70W transmission.

Pros
  • reverse light switch
Cons
  • bits and pieces
