I bought this to use with a T-Mobile hotspot. I live in an area where internet resources are very limited - it's ASDL or satellite and both are expensive and very slow. I bought the T-Mobile M2000-4DE4 5G hotspot because I have 5G service and the cost of the service is much lower than all the options above. I needed a way to connect my Apple Time Capsule to my network so I could backup my Macs and also have a range extender. It took a bit of fiddling, but I finally got everything set up and everything works perfectly. I bought a long USB-A to USB-C cable and connected the Access Point to the GL-B1300 and then connected the Time Capsule to the GL with an Ethernet cable. Put GL and Time Capsule in bridge mode and make sure they both see the hotspot. Now I have a strong WiFi signal throughout the house. I'll say it's not plug and play - knowing how to set up a network is very helpful. I'm a network administrator, so I'm a bit more skilled. This required accessing devices via IP addresses and some modifications.
