Expander mode crashes multiple times after about 12 hours. Not recoverable by Power Cycling. The only way to recover was by doing a forced factory reset and then reprogramming. Couldn't even connect. It's clear that the Netgear device has failed since I was able to connect to the main hotspot. One day I was able to connect to it, but it wouldn't connect to the internet. Another time when I stopped broadcasting, I couldn't connect. Both times the status light was green. It was a restored block. Maybe that's why they brought it back? I can believe that the factory failed to recognize a problem that takes many hours to show up. However, this suggests that the factory is not burning them properly. (I'm a design engineer for analog communication ICs). This is the third Netgear WifI extender that failed for some strange reason. The previous two took about 3 years to fail. RF performance is good (range), but digital communications are unreliable. This is my latest Netgear product.
