I had to move my Wi-Fi router to our basement and our signal dropped on all our devices. After adding this, our devices were able to get a much stronger signal. I recommend giving the extender a name that is different from your router's SSID. I just added "_ext" which makes it easier to figure out which signal is which. Expander mode crashes multiple times after about 12 hours. Not recoverable by Power Cycling. The only way to recover was by doing a forced factory reset and then reprogramming. Couldn't even connect.
