Trying to use this for the new iPad mini 5. When the keyboard is connected and closed, the iPad does not recognize the magnet and does not switch off. It turns off without a keyboard, but where should I put the keyboard if not in a case? Accessing special characters is difficult, and you have to use Ctrl or Fn to get them. This is usually done with the Shift key. A color display is not required, a simple keyboard with a white backlight would have been sufficient. Once open, you need to pull the keyboard back to allow the iPad to get the correct angle for typing. Once set up, the iPad doesn't snap into a secure position, so expect it to lean forward. Fixed: Contacted support and was very helpful.
