I'm not crazy about pattern choices but the patterns it has are well written and definitely intended for less experienced knitters (moi). Patterns in the world of knitting and crocheting are usually written in stitches only, allowing the knitter to guess what the result should look like. Not this little book, although their method is more or less successful. However, apart from the written handshake, photos would certainly be nice for every step in the development process. However, this is a good basic book to start with stockings. I do not regret the purchase.
