I connected this auger to my Dewalt DCD771 drill https://amzn.to/341Wv6U - My drill is a 20v unit with a 1/2 chuck and a hi/lo switch. On the low setting, I was able to use about 1/2 trigger to *comfortably* drill a hole through 6 inches of ice in less than 30 seconds. I was particularly surprised and pleased that it did not require "super grip" to hold on to the drill. You just rest it on the ice, pull the trigger and let it do the work. I was a bit worried about the "nylon auger" but it is just there to clear the debris from the hole and worked great. The unit is not heavy but it is not too light either - it feels solid and well built.
