Worked well enough for less than 7 days, successfully tested Linux and Windows compatibility. The device didn't drop the HDMI signal, so when switching between video calls/OBS I had to disconnect and reconnect the HDMI cable to switch from the standby signal to the camera's live signal. That being said, when I checked this in the morning 6 days after receiving the device, it wasn't responding and after plugging it back in, the device got extremely hot (much hotter than ever when running successfully). [648600.993217] usb usb3-port1: Unable to activate. Maybe the USB cable is defective? [648600.993313] usb usb3-port1: Error enumerating USB device. I made sure the USB port is ok by plugging in other devices. It's just that the HDMI video capture device burned out or something. , because every time I turn it on, it immediately starts to heat up.
