I ordered this to replace my aging Cuisinart. i will return it While chopping walnuts, he danced over the counter because the base wasn't heavy enough. After cutting the apples, the pieces nestle against the edge of the lid. The feed tube is small and the part that fits into the tube has a front and back, so it cannot be flipped. It partially slips when rotated back and then needs to be removed and rotated. It just doesn't seem to be as durable as the Cuisinart. The good thing is that the mug is easier to empty without spilling as it doesn't have a hole in the middle like the Cuisinart.
