Now I live in an apartment. We have a patio door with vertical blinds. Since we use the door several times a day to let the dog out, the blinds started falling. We had to buy a replacement because we all know management likes to charge crazy fees for stuff. They go perfectly with the ones already installed, but if you put your hands on the old and new, you can see that they are of a higher quality. They have more weight, appear stronger and a little thicker. This means the small tab at the top to attach it to the blinds is more durable and less likely to break. To be honest, while they're definitely better, you can't really tell the difference just by looking at the blinds. If you're renting an apartment and need to replace your blinds, they're great (and can save you a lot of money, depending on the landlord).
