The toy is about what you'd expect for the price. The attachable feathers seem to be well made and the cats love them. The reel is junk. If you want to "cast" it's probably better to buy an actual toddler/kid pole with a working reel. Two more observations - be careful when adding extra fishing line to extend the short length. My cat immediately wrapped the line around his legs, which could have been a disaster. Also, the metal clasp that allows you to switch out feathers is tiny and very hard to manipulate. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone with arthritis or other hand issues.
