Works so far: but I just installed this thing. Just take a look. But the main reason I'm commenting at this early stage is to offer an installation tip or two for Windows 7 operating system users: (1) When your Belkin model F5D8055 USB adapter arrives, take a look at the back of the USB Part and Note if it is version 1 or 2. If it is version 2, it may show v.2010. Assuming you have a router but are not connected to the Internet, connect one end of an Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port on the back of your computer and the other end to the Ethernet port on the back of your router. (Any router should work. I have a Linksys WRT160N). Then, using Internet Explorer or another browser, connect to the Internet and type [.] in the address bar. When you get to this website, look for the driver for the version of the adapter that you received. Once you find it, download it. (2) You can now install the adapter. DO NOT use the CD that came with the adapter. It does not include a driver for the adapter for Windows 7. Instead, click the downloaded driver and then click Vista to install Vista. After that, the downloaded driver should automatically install the driver for Windows 7. You may also need to go to Control Panel, then Network and Sharing Center and click Change adapter settings. There you should see an adapter from Belkin. Right-click it and click Connect. At this point the product should be installed. If not, do not contact Belkin Chat Support. It's as bad as HP. Better to call Belkin Customer Service at 1-800-223-5546. Hope that helps.
