Review on ๐Ÿ–จ๏ธ ESUN PLA 1.75mm 3D Printer Filament by Jacob Andreti

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Update - Much stronger than regular PLA but started to have problems - lost a star.

Update: Just lost a star. Still using this ESun pla+ but it has lost some of its charm. I have already run about 250 rolls of this material. It used to be spotless when it came from Wuhan. Yes, it is true. It originally came from Covid flying out of the center. Obviously they are made in other places now as you can see from the packaging and the quality has definitely taken a hit now. At least 30% or more of the recent rolls I've bought are so brittle that they tear if you leave them in the printer. Any stretched out straight (basically anything that isn't coiled up on rolls) will break and be a piece of uncooked spaghetti. This is definitely the case with any roll with poorly vacuum sealed receipt packaging, but even with some rolls with good vacuum sealing it will happen. This has started in the last few months and I've been using this stuff for over a year now. Definitely a situation of "made somewhere else" with a loss of quality. I just hope the finished parts I sell don't get hurt. I think they are ok but not 100% sure. First review: Hatchbox makes excellent quality PLA, but the material is MUCH stronger. I have been making and selling a product that I guarantee and have had multiple failures of a specific component and since switching to this PLA plus I have only had one and it was due to heavy use. About the same success with this material as with the regular PLA hatchbox. I used about 100 rolls of Hatchbox PLA and about 30 rolls of Esun PLA plus. Both are great, but I'm sticking with this stuff just for its power.
