is ok for the price. I'm pretty sure if my daughter falls on the playground her knee will snap right away. It is not made of plastic or vinyl. It is much more environmentally friendly and more similar to paper material. The breathable holes are said to be too small to let water through. I haven't tried the waterproofing to be honest, but I'm keeping it - it was a great price. It's also HUGE. but it works as waterproof pants are designed to be worn over clothing (including jeans) - so baggy doesn't bother me - it just surprised me as it looked like it could be worn on a small adult and my LO wears size 5.
