Review on SainSmart Pink Resin Board – CNC, Laser Cutting, Wood Burning & DIY Proofing Pack (2pcs) by Carla Anderson

I recently bought a Sainsmart Genmitsu 3018 and I'm still learning, but I have experience in traditional woodworking and carving. This material is very easy to work with, light and durable. Fine detail is easy to achieve (this is not obvious given my rough knowledge of CNC). I used a hand miter saw to cut through the 45mm x 45mm block and then sawed it down to almost half the thickness. A band saw would be a better choice going forward. I then used a 1/2" flat cutter to level the top surface. Eventually I settled on the Barbie logo v-thread due to the pink color. I unwittingly made a mistake in the size of the carving, but man looks at barbie's face that very fine detail can be achieved. When cut, it smells a little like acrylic and forms a fine dust that can be easily removed from the cut path. It would be a great product for prototyping or mold making. I can try some faux finishes I think it would be great for miniature tombstones as Halloween is just around the corner.
