Review on North States MyPet Petgate Passage by Jacqueline Garrabrant

Having installed half a dozen other gates in my home over the last 10 years - some for pets, some for a toddler - I can definitely say this is my favorite. i'm a big guy I don't like squeezing through narrow gates. It has a nice wide gate that I can easily walk through while carrying my laptop bag to work. The ability to swing open (and stay open) in any direction is a plus. The only downside was that my cat didn't like the swinging pet door so I had to undo the screws around the door frame (just the smaller hole) which allowed me to remove the swinging part. The problem is solved. We mainly use this now to keep dogs in one part of the house depending on where we are. I use it in combination with Wall Nanny to protect my paint and cabinets and use a 6" extension to get the size I want. My 2 year old understands conceptually how it should open, but it requires enough dexterity that it will probably take her another year to figure out how to do it.
