Even Netgear support couldn't connect it.

NETGEAR WiFi Mesh Range Extender EX7700 I spent an hour installing this thing and carefully followed Netgear's brief and incomplete instructions. Since my 4-year-old router lacks WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) functionality, the only other option Netgear offers is the "Nighthawk" app through my smartphone. Without going into gory details, the setup didn't work. I spent two hours on the phone with Netgear support after trying a dozen or more things they suggested. Eventually they gave up and said they couldn't connect it to my router so it must be defective. So I sent it back six hours after Revain delivered the product. In fact, two support people worked on it from time to time, and both had a thick Indian accent that made them difficult to understand, adding to the frustration. After that, I bought a Linksys AC1200 MAX Wi-Fi Gigabit Range Extender, which took 10 minutes. to setup and connect to my router. Linksys works fine. For example, the security camera farthest from the router, outside the garage, played the recorded video in choppy/jerky mode, sometimes with long pauses - and now those videos play smoothly and without interruption. In addition, testing the signal strength of our network (Android app: WiFi Manager) showed that the Linksys repeater on the first floor of the house has a stronger signal than the signal from the router on the second floor of the house.
