Review on The Maestro Scale: Accurate 8000g x 1g Measurement with AC Adapter for Precise Weighing by Terry Keown

I have used and owned a $10 Escali Drop kitchen scale prior to the KD-8000. I have digital and analogue kitchen scales. I even had the "cradle" that old school bakers use. None of them compare to the Maestro (at least for the 8kg payload). The main scale has a large, flat surface that can be easily removed for cleaning and has an excellent coating to make weighing dough easier. Backlit display with large clear numbers and detachable screen so you can weigh even on a full plate, large cooking bowl or pot. The detachable face cable retracts automatically so you don't have to worry about tangling. The mini-scale is particularly useful for spices and herbs, but the baker's calculator function works perfectly; If you want 1.5% salt, you get 1.5% salt. The user interface is fast and responsive, and the buttons are softer than the KD-8000. It even comes with a power adapter. The feature that shows how close you are to overloading is surprisingly useful! This gives me the certainty that I will not damage my scale. That's it folks. This is the best kitchen scale money can buy for those who don't need more than 8kg capacity. The price is competitive considering the competition; You can buy a much less functional scale for the same or more money, even from the same brand.
