I only gave this bell 4 stars because the inside edge of the bell has a raised sharp edge all around. I have to put it down with my dremel before giving it to my parrot girls. You could cut yourself if I don't. The chain also has a sharp stainless steel ball on one of the links that I also need to file. But nice bell. It makes a nice soft chime. Not too loud to startle small budgies. My conure has a bigger bell and it rings a lot. Especially when he wants me to wake up from my nap. I think that would be too small for larger birds. Definitely a budgie bell.
