Great Badlands Upgrade 12,000 lb winch comes with cable. I believe the cable was 65 feet, this winch cable is 100 feet. All this is put on the roll. You need to cut 4 inches from the end with a connecting screw. I cut off the black shield, moved it back and then cut the line. This allowed me to thread the smaller diameter outer shield through the latch hole and then pull the winch cable through. I pulled it out about 3/4 inch, attached it to the other side, then took my little propane torch and melted it flush again. It took a bit of effort to make it this way, but it looks way better than the screws on the outside. .I didn't wrap it very tight and my wrap is a bit ugly. About the time I had my first wrap, it started raining. It is strongly recommended to wind the line under load.
