It was an expensive ice cream scoop. And it's worth every penny. I've been eating a lot more ice cream lately when I found out there was a low-sugar variety. Most taste good too. But after spring got stuck in our last scoop, dessert became difficult to come by. Not to mention using the simplest of basic spoons that held my ice cream like sticky paper for flies. Not wanting to go to the store and talk to people, I checked here first. A scoop of ice cream is almost $15? Is it platinum? Then I realized the truth: USING ICE SHOPS. The ones where they get it effortlessly. All along I thought they had a magic freezer or better ice cream; how else could they extract it with such a simple shovel? This is deceptive. The handle is filled with freon or something that heats up to the touch, causing the spoon to heat up and go through the ice cream quite easily. Not like Darth Maul's lightsaber, but like James Norrington, where it still gets a little stuck, but still pretty basic. This is better than bending an aluminum spoon, which makes nothing but one piece anyway. If you like ice cream, buy this. If not, buy this so people will think you're Criss Angel.
