Dear K&N products, improved throttle response and slight increase in fuel consumption, aggressive turbo sound. This particular air intake has an unreliable mounting position compared to others I have installed on previous vehicles. It stands upright and has plenty of room to move around and hit objects (e.g. the headlight mount) and possibly damage the filter. I had to bend the mount that came with the air intake to position it properly so it wouldn't hit anything and limit your range of motion. To remove and clean the filter, the heat shield must be removed. It doesn't happen often, but it will be annoying when I have to top up the filter oil (i.e. around 30-60k miles depending on preference).
