Adopting five 3 week old foster kittens from rescue. Now they are 8 weeks old and since then this pillow has been connected to the grid 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It doesn't get very hot. It was a good size for all five when they were little. Of course, since they got bigger, not everyone will fit on them. It was great to keep them warm with the AC on and help them regulate their body temperature. Always leave room for them to move away from the heating pad. I love the extra protective cover on the cable. I assume it will hold up well for young puppies. The kittens had no problem chewing once they realized how tight the umbilical cord was. Definitely recommend this product!
