I am waiting for this mandrel because the one I bought from a diver is bent. Spearfishing in shallow water near rocks can damage equipment. So be careful not to miss the fish and go straight into the rocks. A friend used it and bent it. Hoping they can switch to stronger steel that doesn't bend as easily. The tip is sharp and the additional threaded cap makes the attachment very secure. The bends are mainly visible where the damper is attached. It's only weak as the pin holding the shutter splits the shaft in two. Bending it back will only make it weaker. The cracker is strong; caught a 20lb fish with ease! 3 stars for the kink problem Good buy, just be careful with the stones!
