I bought these for a 2006 Mustang GT to combat the known burned spark plug problem. When I tried to remove the factory plugs (about two years ago) I broke a couple of them and panicked all day trying to get them out. I decided to replace them with these when I recently removed the factory plugs to reapply anti-seize. My car works fine with them and hopefully I don't have to worry about them breaking again. I applied a non-stick coating just in case. As for pulling out the OEM connectors, grab a Kroil or PB Blaster and be patient and they should come out relatively easily. When I removed the factory style plugs (which I had coated with anti-seize) to insert them, they came out very easily with a bit of Kroil.
