I use this with my laptop which only has one working USB port. Now I can charge my phone, use my mouse, control my Arduino and connect an external hard drive at the same time. I like the buttons that allow you to toggle ports on and off. They provide a satisfying click and light up when turned on. I didn't notice any slowdown or heat when using all four ports. It's light and small, so you can take it with you wherever you use your laptop. If you feel like you don't have enough USB ports and don't want to spend a lot of money, I would recommend this one.
