This is a very basic cable that does exactly what it says on the tin. Full-size Displayport for HDMI 4K. Works great, cheap price, 5 stars. I just opened it up and tried it out on my HP business laptop (Elitebook) which (annoyingly) has Displayport instead of HDMI. Why? Nobody knows. Okay, that's because the HDMI Consortium charges $0.05 per HDMI port and Displayport is free. INDEED? Anyway I got this adapter, tried it on my 4K TV and it works great. It was about half the price of the cheapest cable so I thought about it. But proof in action and I just tested it, no problem. So now I'm buying a second one so I don't have to carry it to the office, I have one at home and one at work, the deal is done. As you can see from the photos it is very short but nice and flexible. And my HDMI cable is 2m long, so that's ok. With these adapters, DO NOT buy the ones that are only a 2" hard connector. Oh they work fine but they add a lot of weird angles to the cable and put extra pressure on a pretty flimsy plug/plug combo that just isn't needed and not really designed to take the strain of the weight of a 2 -inch cable to wear from the plug. Something will eventually either break or come loose to your detriment. Just use this cable adapter and you're done. Buy it. Inexpensive, works great, 5 stars.
