Even though there were very few reviews (let alone good reviews) on this device, I thought I would Keep trying. I connected a Raspberry Pi 4 HDMI cable to it and then connected the USB 3 side to my iMac. Using QuickTime, I was able to get the image onto my computer. Then I tried this little classic game console and it also displayed well in the QuickTime window. The rendering isn't perfect (minor screen artifacts), but it's sufficient for playing older games. I didn't get any sound at first, but it turned out to be my fault for forgetting to turn up the sound slider in the QuickTime window. After that everything works fine. For the price I can't beat it.
