Darker image, artifacts and VERY heated.

This recorder is worth its price because it has a pass-through connection. On a Mac, it's automatically recognized as an external webcam and works with Zoom, Teams, FaceTime, OBS, and Quicktime. However, it heats up to very high temperatures during operation, the image streamed to the Mac is darker than the image streamed through other interfaces, and the image quality is lower, with some noticeable banding in the shadows. When it came to the pure acquisition, I was lucky with LEADNOVO, the…

Doesn't work with Lumix cameras - read first

I received the device and it worked perfectly on my Vixia and GoPro 3+ camcorder with mini HDMI and micro HDMI cables respectively. However, I couldn't get it to work with any of my Lumix cameras, neither the GH3 nor the G7. I emailed the product's customer service and they advised that the sync process in Panasonic camera devices is different from their product and does not work with Panasonic cameras. But since I already had HDMI to SDI and SDI to HDMI converters (also from Wiistar), I was…

HDMI Capture - Computer and Accessories

Even though there were very few reviews (let alone good reviews) on this device, I thought I would Keep trying. I connected a Raspberry Pi 4 HDMI cable to it and then connected the USB 3 side to my iMac. Using QuickTime, I was able to get the image onto my computer. Then I tried this little classic game console and it also displayed well in the QuickTime window. The rendering isn't perfect (minor screen artifacts), but it's sufficient for playing older games. I didn't get any sound at first…

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • I don't mind, everything is fine

Good for the price. Colors can be corrected

This capture card is great for what I use it for. Most of you will use it to record games or turn a DSLR into a webcam, and for those purposes the color change can be a challenge. I am using the card to transfer a PowerPoint presentation from another computer. The colors are a bit different as mentioned in other reviews but I had a simple fix in OBS. I can't speak for framerate and that's not what I use it for. I think if you know how to use color correction filters in OBS or have any other way

Pros
  • New to my collection

Is working. Computer Components

Works as described, but the video quality is not as good as a more expensive capture device. In my opinion the price should be under 50.00

Pros
  • Stylish Design
Cons
  • Waiting Too Long

Great device and so small it does everything it can.

But make sure you connect the cables properly (saves you the embarrassment). The cable sends the video signal from the camera via the IN socket. Spirit. Well, there are two connectors on that end and one for the OUT signal. Ouch! I plugged the camera cable into the IN slot and wow. It's just fantastic, even at full 1080 HDMI quality. And the cost was the real thing for what he does. Now it always lies in a bag for the camera. We use it to video record our worship services. We connect the audio…

Save your money and go for something like elgato

I was looking for a screen capture device that would allow me to stream to Twitch. It works out of the box with Streamlabs obs. However, there are a few problems: the colors are washed out and the quality of the image signal is somewhat degraded, no matter what resolution you choose. In terms of money, you'd better save the extra $50 and get the Elgato. On the plus side, the construction of the device is solid, with a solid aluminum body and ports, and it also has a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Pros
  • Very fast shipping
Cons
  • Stock availability
