Review on WHITE BLACK+DECKER 14,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner with Heat and Remote Control for 350 sq ft, BPACT14HWT by Darby Perkins

Here are the problems I had with this unit: 1. It was damaged with stains and peeling paint on the outside of the unit which made me worried about the inside.2. It's not even cool. When the outside temperature is over 80 degrees, I still get hot even if I'm only two meters away. Advertising is misleading. It is listed as 14,000 BTUs, but if you read the full product description you will see that the Department of Energy listed it as 7,500 BTUs in 2017.4. It randomly won't turn on for no apparent reason, which makes me think it's going to die early. Disconnecting and reconnecting sometimes helps, but not always. In other cases, it turns on without problems.5. Very loud - always heard. You should turn up the volume on your TV much higher than normal.6. It's not very portable. There is only one window slider, so moving it from one room to another is a hassle. It's also very heavy, so if you try to move it up and down the stairs you'll have trouble handling it. At 83 pounds, this is one of the heaviest portable air conditioners you can get. And that's probably the biggest problem in general because it hurts to give it back. If you decide to buy this device anyway, at least keep the box with something to send it back in, as it will be difficult to find a box big enough to put it. It looks like a powerful machine with a lot of different options. it is, but I can assure you that you are better off spending your money on something that will keep you really cool. $400 is too much for something that doesn't serve its purpose and has other problems as well.
